Bringing together more than 300 people from the Bay Area, the Empower Breakfast Fundraiser is GirlVentures’ annual celebration of both the girls who have participated in our programs, and our community supporters, as well!
This spring marked an exciting milestone for GirlVentures as our inaugural class of alumnae graduated from college. Twelve years ago, these inspiring young women were the first to participate in our unique outdoor experiential programs, focused soley on adolescent girls, and now they’re blazing trails of their own!

Serving girls ages 11-20 years old, GirlVentures’ unique programs are designed to bring together girls from all different backgrounds. In fact, 65% of the girls who participate in our programs come from low to moderate economic backgrounds. Your support of our mission to empower adolescent girls is needed now more than ever!
We are so pleased to have Arlene Blum as our keynote speaker! Ms. Blum is an author and ground-breaking mountaineer who led the first American—and all-women’s—ascent of Annapurna I and was the first American woman to attempt Mt. Everest.
