Standard fonts for Windows

Fonts are always a huge consideration while making new websites and redesigning existing ones.  Here’s a great list of what fonts are included with various Windows and Mac Operating Systems:

It’s best to keep the text on your website within these fonts.  If you want to use fonts outside this group, please consider putting this text within an image so that it properly loads in each browser and operating system.  You don’t want to go over board either putting text in special fonts in images.  Reason 1: Search Engines cannot read text within fonts and this can severely hurt your ratings.  Reason 2: In general, the fonts allowed are very readable.  If you start using too many speciliaty fonts, then that’s often a sign you website may not be easily readable to the naked eye.
