The Hike for GirlVentures is a fun, adventurous way to experience the natural beauty of the California coast while supporting GirlVentures’s mission to empower adolescent girls to develop and express their strengths. Anyone can hike!

When:
Sunday, May 3, 2009
8:15am – 9:00am – Breakfast and Bib Pick Up,
9:00am – 9:15am – Participant Orientation
9:15am – 1:00pm – Hike
1:00pm – 2:00pm – Lunch and Celebration

What:
Hikers may choose between a 7-mile or 3-mile hike:

• The 7-mile loop includes steady ascents and descents, offering incredible views of the ocean, lush redwood canyons, oak woodlands, and chaparral hillsides.
• The 3-mile route is an abbreviated out and back hike up to the Coastal Trail or along the Redwood Trail.  This is a great route for families!

Where:
Santos Meadow, Mt. Tamalpais State Park. Mt. Tamalpais is located in the heart of Marin County and affords hikers some of the most spectacular views of the Bay Area.

All hikers have the option to:

• Participate in group games and team-building exercises;
• Learn lessons in environmental stewardship;
• Receive an introduction into the core components of our Outdoor Adventure curricula; or to just:
• Hike and spend a beautiful day with friends in Mt. Tamalpais State Park.
