“$100M in Earnings on $600M Revenue = Skype For Sale?”

I made my first call on Skype (it’s the late adopter thing-to-do) last month to a colleague in Australia and I was amazed about the call’s sound quality and clarity! Now I get why people rave about the service, especially when it’s free!

Fortune Magazine’s “Is Skype on Sale at eBay?” opening paragraph intrigued me.  Adam Lashinsky, Senior Writer proffers “Skype has taken on an unusual dual meaning in the Internet world – known equally as a stunningly successful example of consumer adoption and a deal-making flop of multi-million dollar proportions”.

How long will be 338 million other Skype users and I be able to get a “free lunch?”
