Below is an yet another interesting use of RSS feeds, specifically for website ecommerce. If you are addicted to eBay you can have the latest auctions loaded on your home page with google, yahoo, etc. and through a “feed” you can have eBay email you the last auctions and new auctions that have come along. Talk about feeding your (eBay) addiction! Couldn’t help but make that easy joke!

How to subscribe to a RSS feed

Before you subscribe to a feed, you’ll need an RSS reader or aggregator to view content in RSS. Several free and commercial RSS readers are available on the Internet. Once you have an RSS reader, simply right-click on an RSS link, copy the URL, and paste it into your reader to display the content in RSS.The eBay Stores, eBay Discussion Boards, eBay General Announcement Board and System Announcement Board are places where content is changing on a regular basis. To make it easy for you to see recent changes and updates on these Stores and boards, you can view their content in RSS.
